Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening is the most popular cosmetic dental procedure. Teeth whitening procedures accommodate almost any budget and results are instantaneous. Whitening is different than bleaching in that whitening removes food and beverage stains from the tooth, returning the tooth to its natural color. Bleaching whitens the tooth from the inside-out, therefore creating a tooth that is whiter than its natural color. Almost everyone is a candidate for teeth whitening. Overtime our teeth naturally darken and stain from age, food, and beverages. Whitening removes these stains by polishing the surface of the tooth. The tooth is whitened through peroxide, which enters the tooth and lightens the inside layers of the tooth. A brighter smile makes individuals look more youthful, healthier, and more confident. Whiter teeth can also minimize the appearance of wrinkles as well as giving an all over more energetic appearance. KöR Whitening and Zoom! Whitening For effective teeth whitening, cosmetic dentists use two different methods: KöR Whitening and Zoom! Whitening. Below are the descriptions of each procedure so you can decide which is right for you. Zoom! Whitening Like its name implies, Zoom! Whitening can have your smile whiter and brighter in no time at all. In a little over an hour Zoom! can whiten your teeth anywhere between 1 to 8 shades brighter. Zoom! is long-lasting, safe, and a comfortable procedure. During the whitening session, a member of our team will apply Zoom! Whitening Gel to your teeth. Once the gel is in place we’ll use a special, low-heat Zoom! Light to activate the gel so it will to penetrate the enamel and dentin in your teeth to remove stains and discoloration. KöR Whitening KöR Whitening is a deep bleaching system that reaches the core of one’s tooth. It works from the inside-out, producing a glowing white set of teeth. To start the KöR Whitening process our team will take a mold of your teeth to create easy-fitting trays. Patients will then spend the next two weeks sleeping with these trays in their mouths. We will schedule a follow-up appointment at the end of the two weeks to see how the whitening process is progressing.
